Ellis Cx3 Sun SP (Refurbished)

I have always wanted to see the world how others see it. According to the EnChroma colour vision test I am strongly protan. I was a bit sceptical about the claims of EnChroma and spent some time researching views and opinions before purchasing a pair of their glasses. I opted for a refurbished pair as these are considerably cheaper. My expectations were not that high and I anticipated using the money back guarantee. I purchased the glasses shortly before a holiday to the Canary Islands so that I would have plenty of opportunity to try them out in bright, sunny conditions. There was no immediate wow factor, but, I did notice that colours were immediately a little brighter. Over time, everything did become a little more vivid and I am now able to identify some colours that previously I could not (for instance, a paved path which originally looked a greyish white to me now appears pink which my wife confirmed is the correct colour). I don’t think these glasses get me to close to normal colour vision but they have made some difference and I will be keeping them.

I see the whole landscape "ignites" with red colors when I put on classes. i see red colors become lighter and more "alive". Before that everything is more grayish and the red colors are darker. I guess the polarizing lens passes through lot more red then green and since I am "strong Protan" with color red deficiency it helps to see the red better, but I am still confused since everything has kind of redish tone and I've hoped that all colors with now be clear like with normal people.

I have been looking at these glasses for a very long time now, and had been putting off buying a pair just in case they didn’t work for me, it seemed a lot of money for the risk. These glasses are amazing! As someone with strong protan colourblindness I never realised how much red was missing from my vision, even looking at everyday objects such as house bricks and postboxes, I was staggered at the difference. We also have bright pink busses in our city, (little did I know until I drove past one wearing these) if you are on the fence about trying them, I don’t think you will be disappointed. As for the refurbished pairs. These came and were like brand new, with the case and cleaning cloth. I cannot recommend them enough! Life changing
